Step by step
- Open Settings → Display and choose Light, Dark, or System. System follows your device's current appearance and updates when it changes. Your choice stays in this browser; it does not change market data or saved trades.
- Visit /design/ to preview the shared controls. Use Tab to move between actions. In a segmented choice, use Left, Right, Home, or End to choose a different enabled option.
- Open an example sheet, dialog, or popover. Sheets and dialogs keep keyboard focus inside while open. Escape closes them and returns focus to the action that opened them. A destructive action asks for confirmation.
- Read the badge beside a chart or group of numbers. Sample means a fixture, Model estimate means a calculated scenario, and Historical data means dated source observations. A badge applies to all numbers in its labeled region.
- Read gains and losses by their sign or wording as well as their color. Numbers use aligned figures so columns remain easy to scan. Empty regions explain how to add data or what source is missing.
Every control, explained
- Appearance
- Light, Dark, or your system preference. How: Settings → Display, or the appearance control on /design/.
- Shared controls
- Consistent actions, fields, exclusive choices, and focus indicators. How: Tab between controls; use arrow keys inside segmented choices.
- Overlays
- Options appear in a popover, sheet, or focused dialog. How: Open an example on /design/; close it with Escape.
- Data labels
- Sample, modeled, or historical provenance for a group of numbers. How: Read the badge at its chart or section heading.
Limits to know
- Appearance does not make sample data live or turn model estimates into forecasts. Some teammate-owned screens may still be awaiting migration.
- Browser storage can be unavailable; the selected appearance then applies for the current visit.
Try it: Open /design/, switch between Light and Dark, then open a dialog. Use Tab and Shift+Tab to check that focus stays inside; press Escape to return to its opener.
